The
Coastal Accessible Transport Service (or CATS
for short) is a local transport service for
mobility impaired and frail elderly people
unable to use conventional bus services. CATS
operates in the Aldeburgh, Framlingham, Leiston,
Saxmundham and Woodbridge areas. Today CATS
has seven vehicles, five in Leiston and one
in Woodbridge. The vehicles are small minibuses
and are all wheelchair accessible providing
door-to-door local journeys. . |

The
CoastLink vehicle acts as a community car
available to anyone who lives on the coast
from Walberswick down to Saxmundham and as
far inland as Yoxford. Its aim is to be a
demand-responsive car service enabling people
to access the Suffolk coast'. It also helps
local villagers to reach services, bus/train
connections and other parts of the area. it
is a reasonably priced means of transport,
prices are based on bus fares for the same
journey.' This service is available 7 days
a week including bank holidays. Journeys are
best booked at least 2 working days in advance,
preferably more. All week and week-ends. |

This
is a service provided by Suffolk County Council
and the WRVS to provide more convenient options
for connections between villages and other
local destinations.
It runs a bit like a taxi but for the fare
of a bus! It covers Saxmundham and mainly
villages to the west of Saxmundham, but also
up to Peasenhall and Yoxford and down to Benhall,
Sternfield and Friston.. Only Mon-Fri. |
